FAQ page.
What are the admissions requirements at your school?
Incoming freshmen are defined by CTU as those students desiring a degree who have
never attended a post-secondary educational institution.
First, you must complete your Colorado Technical University application. You will
be required to interview with an Admissions Representative at the school. Before
beginning your courses, you also will be required to submit attestation of high
school graduation or the equivalent.
What documentation is required for admission to CTU?
Your completed, signed application must include a payment of a $50 non-refundable
application fee.
Can I receive undergraduate credit for course challenge exams?
Credit may be earned on the basis of special challenge examinations and/or projects
when students show exceptional background in a particular academic area.
In order to challenge a course, students must not have been previously enrolled
in the course and all the prerequisites for the course must be met.
Academic Deans at the school help students through the challenge process. Students
have one academic quarter to complete the challenge process. A letter grade is awarded
and entered on the official transcript for each course challenge.
The maximum amount of credit earned through examination that may be accepted toward
graduation is 15 quarter hours for an Associate's degree and 30 quarter hours for
a Bachelor's degree. Credit earned by examination may not be used to satisfy residency
requirements.
Students requesting course challenge credits pay a $100 non-refundable fee prior
to taking the course challenge for each requested course. Payment of this fee does
not guarantee receipt of credit.
